Managing Violent Behaviour in Fostering – Feedback 2018
One of our senior trainers went to Devon recently to deliver our course on managing violent behaviour (child to parent) in foster care. Here's the excellent feedback from a supervising social worker who attended the course!
"It was kept simple, and gave a legal context, and provided insight into behaviour escalation, and provided some hope a situation could be retrieved, even at the point of aggressive outburst, and emphasised maintaining one`s personal safety, and to be calm, and was delivered professionally, expertly, dynamically and with humour"
"All of the foster carers on the course loved this training, it was so relevant, and apparently better than the last training they had, and other carers are now asking when we can have another training day! I particularly enjoyed giving feedback (enthusiastically) to my colleagues in the team meetings, (who were then jealous they had not attended) and everyone who attended remembers “whoa whoa, whoa!” and they are still talking about, even at the xmas lunch. I cannot think of any way to improve it."
